So I finally released my new game yesterday. Man am I glad to have that done. Don't get me wrong, it was fun drawing all this, but it took WAY longer than I intended. I started out drawing tracks, and that turned out to be a lot of fun... so I made a lot of them. Then I had to go & make cars & girls for each track... those take a lot more time to draw. And somewhere along the way I realized that I was drawing a lot more than I had originally planned. That's great as an art project, but not so much for great game. Hence the name, BTW.
But anyway, I'm still really glad I did all this, and I hope y'all enjoy it. I learned a metric ton about drawing... mainly by doing it wrong over & over, but eventually I picked up a trick or two. Probably hard to see in the game, as it's not really organized by when I drew stuff. In general, the art should get slightly better as you progress, so think of that as a bonus. hahaha. What it really did is it got me thinking about how I can repeat art w/o having to re-draw the same scene 1000 times... which is exactly what it felt like sometimes. Especially the hands... they still look wrong to me. hehe.
One thing I find very funny is apparently I have a thing for chics with mullets (not), wearing blue jeans (okay, sure), and the color purple (yeah, that's true). None of that was really planned, but it was what I drew. Maybe it's my subconcious trying to tell me something? hahah
